EQ: How do composers share their ideas?

This month students will be assessed on how well they recognize and identify notation and the letter names of the lines and spaces on the staff. This unit will be a foundation for music literacy and playing the recorder next year. Click on The Gr. 3 Study Guide, which will help students prepare for the assessment this month.

EQ: How does music influence movement/dance?

Syncopation (accented rhythm between the beats), will be uncovered, played, composed, and performed this month. On May 22, Student Led Conference Day, students will share projects using syncopation in the Music room, ES 18.


EQ: How do performers communicate composer’s ideas?

Students will be exploring and performing movement activities, while continuing to practice singing and mallet skills.
